United Concrete is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our precast concrete manufacturing facility. You'll own safety, production, quality, and profitability while leading a team of 8-10+ employees.
What You'll Do
- Lead all daily plant operations: production scheduling, batching, casting, curing, finishing, and shipping
- Drive a zero-incident safety culture and ensure OSHA/EPA compliance
- Maintain PCI/NPCA certifications and ensure products meet specs and DOT standards
- Manage plant P&L, budget, labor costs, and raw material inventory
- Oversee preventive maintenance for batch plant, cranes, forms, and yard equipment
- Hire, train, and develop supervisors and hourly staff
- Partner with sales, engineering, and project management to meet customer deadlines
Requirements- 5+ years of manufacturing management experience, including 3+ years in precast/prestressed concrete
- Proven P&L and budget responsibility
- Strong knowledge of concrete mix designs, formwork, reinforcing, and curing
- Track record of improving safety, quality, and on-time delivery
- Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Bonus points: PCI/NPCA certifications, Lean/Six Sigma, bilingual English/Spanish
