Full Job Description
Plant Manager in Pasadena, TX to: Staff, organize, plan, and lead -
Overall direction of the plant to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
Manufacturing practices to assure a high degree of safety and process capability.
Lead the continuous improvement efforts within the plant.
Ensure the cost-effective manufacture of plant production.

Ensure compliance for all required HSSE training, and that there are adequate resources for normal operations and emergency response situations (i.e: Media Training).
Function as Site Communications Coordinator during emergency situations.
Conduct periodic inspections to assure compliance to existing safety rules and procedures and to assess the effectiveness and need for other risk reduction activities.
Ensure all necessary permits and reports are up to date and filed in a timely manner for all Governmental, Industry, and Syensqo requirements.
Represent Syensqo through daily actions that reinforce the corporate values; demonstrating personal commitment to a safe, healthy and environmentally sound workplace for employees and contractors while at all times being alert to the well-being of our neighbors.
Responsible for coordinating off-site reporting activities when a significant environmental spill/release occurs.
Responsible for coordination of non-emergency external communication of HSSE related issues.
Executive responsibility to maintain a quality management system that meets the requirements of the ISO 9001 2015 standard.
You will bring:
+7 years of experience in the chemical industry.
Broad knowledge of general chemical and engineering disciplines usually gained through a degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent Engineering or Chemistry discipline.
Working knowledge of all Health, Safety and Environmental standards, particularly related to personnel and process safety, air, waste, and water compliance.
Working knowledge of cost accounting as it relates to manufacturing operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Leadership skills are necessary for directing, motivating, and developing subordinates.
Negotiating skills for working with governmental regulatory agencies, customers and local bargaining unit.
Active Community involvement experience.

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $144,000 to $198,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
