Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to lead our HRC Operations Team in Milton, Vermont. The Plant Manager will be responsible for hands-on leadership of the operations team and will oversee the business to meet key objectives and metrics. They will oversee all aspects of plant operations, including but not limited to, product and process quality, production/capacity planning, assembly, and operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with an analytical mind and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Key Responsibilities/Areas of Accountability: • Provide daily leadership to drive engagement throughout the local Operations Team • Prepare and manage budgets and understand financial implications of capacity planning and build execution from end to end at local level. • Manage and review all capital requests within Milton Operations • Translate future vision and strategy into clear operational objectives, with daily review to ensure achievement is on track • Actively manage production commitments and project performance; ensuring customer commitment (quality), on-time, and cost deliverables are met • Collaborative engagement with accountability of internal suppliers such as Sales, and Supply Chain teams to ensure customer and business commitments are met • Work closely with Finance, Quality, and Human Resources to ensure continuity in execution of business plans • Develop and drive business and factory metrics with a clear line of sight to the global operations • Support and drive alignment through our QMS (quality management system) within the HRC Operation plants globally • Create, monitor, and track sound capacity plans according to production volume and sales forecasts • Devise strategies to ensure growth; identifying and implementing process improvements and cost reduction methods that will maximize output and minimize costs • Manage labor capacity and cross-training plan for increased labor flexibility • Identify and address resource needs, talent gaps, and bench strength, to build and develop high performing teams • Drive accountability through all departments to promote maximum team performance and ownership • Build a culture of growth by building high performing teams and an engaging workforce that allows team members to grow and take well informed risks. Foster a continuous feedback loop for adjustment and shared commitment to ensure end-to- end improvements are realized • Challenge the status quo by remaining fair and objective and holding others accountable to their commitments. • Build commitment with others through influence and collaboration. • Effectively lead change at a fast pace, demonstrating both vision and passion Qualifications: • A high school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred in a technical or business discipline • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (machine shop environment preferred) • System level thinker with the ability to see beyond the obvious and solve apparent contradictions; can tackle end to end process changes • Proven ability to lead and motivate a group of people • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with a variety of people at various technical and management levels • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and make decisions quickly in a high-pressure environment • Ability to develop innovative solutions to increase productivity • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics • Ability to demonstrate humility and self-awareness • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six-Sigma • Ability to see around corners and solve conflict • Demonstrated experience with conflict management • Working knowledge of Baan, OFS, MS Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to learn new computer skills quickly • Demonstrated ability to drive step by step function improvements and implement change in a short period of time Pay range: $185,000 - $205,000 Husky Technologies TM offers a competitive compensation and benefits package and excellent opportunities for growth and advancement.
