Full Job Description
The successful candidate will be a people-first and process optimization driver, a results-driven leader who thrives on both technical excellence and empowering people. This critical role is dedicated to driving a safe, reliable, and efficient work environment while achieving annual and long-term operational, financial, and infrastructure objectives. We're looking for a Plant Manager to elevate our continuous manufacturing operations in Corsicana, TX expertly blending strategic oversight with hands-on engagement. This ensures our plant not only meets but exceeds performance targets through a relentless focus on our team and optimized processes. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, the Plant Manager will work within a matrixed environment, collaborate with shared services, and demonstrate a strong commitment to nurturing talent and building future leaders through dedicated people development and succession planning. We are particularly seeking a leader who has demonstrated experience in successfully leading teams through periods of significant transformation. GAF is searching for a Plant Manager to lead our newly constructed greenfield plant supporting GAF's recycled asphalt shingle (RAS) efforts. The construction of the facility is complete, and the Plant Manager will immediately take charge of the ongoing commissioning and ramp-up phases. Moving forward, the Plant Manager will be responsible for meeting operational and financial business objectives as set by the Director of Operations. The Plant Manager has overall responsibility for the entire manufacturing facility, and oversees the development and implementation of organizational strategies, standards, and practices to achieve best-in-class performance. The Plant Manager is also an active member of the community, represents GAF's interests in local affairs, and owns the financial performance of the site. **Essential Duties** - Cultivating Excellence: Foster a vibrant culture of safety, continuous improvement, and mutual respect, where every team member is empowered to contribute to our success. - Operational Stewardship: Lead all production activities within our continuous building materials process, ensuring peak performance, quality, and efficiency. - Lean & CI Leadership: Spearhead the application of Lean methodologies and other Continuous Improvement tools to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and significantly reduce waste. - Reliability & Asset Health: Oversee comprehensive maintenance programs (preventative, predictive) to ensure the sustained reliability and longevity of all plant equipment, minimizing downtime. Drive proactive maintenance planning and leverage advanced troubleshooting methods to ensure maximum equipment uptime and performance. - Safety & Environmental Champion: Drive an unwavering commitment to EHS, developing and enforcing robust safety protocols and environmental compliance programs that protect our team and planet. Lead environmental risk assessment and mitigation efforts, ensuring strict compliance management with all relevant environmental regulations and standards. - Talent Development & Engagement: Identify and nurture talent, providing impactful coaching, feedback, and development opportunities. Actively implement succession planning strategies to identify and prepare future leaders within the plant. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
