Eaton's GEIS division is currently seeking a Plant Manager. This role is onsite at our Amarillo, TX facility. Relocation within the United States is provided.
Built in 1981, the Amarillo facility, with approximately 150 team members, is a thriving iron foundry that serves our customers with a variety of parts, including conduits, covers and fittings.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $146000 - $215000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What you'll do:This is a non-union facility with approximately 150 employees. Reporting to the Director of Operations for GEIS Crouse-Hinds business, the incumbent will be responsible for driving the operational strategy for the Amarillo Plant, including profit & loss, growth strategy and organizational direction to meet and exceed short and long-term business goals.
In this role you will:
- Sets overall plant policies and procedures to ensure effective operations consistent with the Eaton Business System (EBS) including Eaton Lean System, OpA, MESH, PROLaunch and MMA
- Ensures the plant complies with all safety regulations and standards and proactively champions a culture focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
- Coordinates and directs through managers, all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Mfg Engineering, Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, OpEx, Human Resources and Finance
- Emphasizes utilization of Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing tools (Kaizen, VSM, 5S+) to lead cost improvement analysis and implement actionable, measurable plans
- Creates a culture of exceeding customer expectations, ensuring that the organization is highly responsive to customer needs and issues
- Accountable for the day-to-day decisions that directly impact the safety, quality, on-time delivery, efficiency, and profitability of the overall plant and identifies areas for improvement that align with business objectives
- Maintains a workforce of highly motivated and engaged employees and drives compliance to the ethics policy by holding others accountable for ethical conduct
- Attracts, selects, develops, trains, coaches, appraises and motivates the workforce to drive talent management and development strategies
- Assures timely and relevant communications and is responsible for establishing systems that would enhance intra- and inter-departmental communications
- Assures that collective bargaining agreements are effectively administered
Qualifications:Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, OPEX and/or related support functions in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing leadership experience.
