Full Job Description
A Plant Facilities Engineer is responsible for the planning, management, and maintenance of all physical infrastructure and utility systems within a manufacturing plant. This role ensures that buildings, utilities, and facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of plant buildings, structures, HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other infrastructure.
  • Utilities Management: Manage plant utility systems including compressed air, steam, water treatment, natural gas, and electrical distribution.
  • Capital Projects: Plan, coordinate, and execute facility improvement and expansion projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for all facility-related equipment and systems.
  • Contractor Management: Source, manage, and oversee external contractors and vendors for facility-related services and projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all facility operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations including building codes, fire safety, and environmental standards.
  • EHS Support: Partner with the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team to maintain a safe working environment and support audits and inspections.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities maintenance and capital budget; identify cost-saving opportunities.


Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering (or related field).
  • Experience: 3-7 years of experience in facilities engineering or plant engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), AutoCAD or similar design tools, CMMS platforms, and project management tools.
  • Certifications (preferred): Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Professional Engineer (PE) license, or LEED accreditation.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.


The base salary for this position is $80,000 to $90,000.
