The Planning & Promotions Lead primary role is to develop, create, and implement on-site communications strategies targeted at consumers. This will include responsibility for: planning and performing POP/POS communications and on-site signage for 7600+ bp and Amoco sites, communications to drive signage objectives, content development and execution across channels, with update to content and support for BP and Amoco brands, and leading technology and process improvements to support consumers and customers across POP channel.

The post holder will be a consumer and customer-focused brand specialist with knowledge and experience in communication planning; have experience of content planning and execution across communication channels, and be adept at working within an agile environment handling multiple projects and collaborators.

This position reports to the Planning & Promotions Manager and will work closely with several internal and external partners including the brand team, digital enablement team, customers (Branded Marketers and direct dealers), field sales teams, NoE, Hub, Legal, agency and external partners.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop annual consumer on-site signage communication plan using data and analytics to build and implement plans
  • Own all aspects of site signage at bp and Amoco sites and manage day-to-day POP channel activity: promotional kits, NTI/DCA POP Starter kits and site onboarding process (working alongside brand image/conversion team), POP websites, launch communications (including B2B comms and field staff training), inventory management, sales and customer/site support, site profile data maintenance, etc.
  • Collaborate with bp product managers and comms channel leads on business needs and campaign planning to ensure consistency across communications
  • Established measurement plans and reporting cadence for ongoing optimizations
  • Develop test-and-learn opportunities to build data sets and capability for signage/POP improvements
  • Manage the execution of POP processes with external partners, ensuring that they are briefed on objectives, projects are timely and on budget, and activities fit within the broader communication framework and strategy for the business
  • Work in collaboration with Comms team on launches, announcements, and dashboard/website improvements to support marketing objectives
  • Ensure the development and management of POP channel and content aligns with the brand guidelines and positioning, as well as other channel comms; shape concise and accurate messaging that aligns with legal and cultural norms of target audiences
  • Ensure content includes the appropriate CTA's, links, QR codes, and work closely with appropriate team(s) on web pages optimization and tagging, if applicable
  • Guide agencies and partners in execution using data analysis to drive decision-making, prioritization, and optimizations across POP channel
  • Lead cross-team takeaways and standard methodologies on POP with convenience team
  • Management and/or coordination of POP operational activities in support of sales, sites, customers, and FBT customer care teams
  • Manage the annual POP budget including monthly forecasting, P2P process, and actualization

Essential Experience and Job Requirements
  • Years of communications planning, consumer marketing and/or communications experience, preferably in a B2C environment.
  • Passion for consumer marketing and brand management, digital experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated record of managing projects/programs with cross functional teams to deliver value and efficiency.
  • Experience supporting both internal and customer field sales staff (customer-facing).
  • Strong project management, numeracy, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to consider new/alternative ways to develop and build meaningful and engaging communication strategies.
  • Strong advocacy and interpersonal skills (internal and with 3rd parties/agencies); strong influencing skills and proven ability to build networks to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge.
  • Teammate with the ability to develop effective relationships within a team and influence others.

How much do we pay (Base)? 85,000.00 - 125,000.00 *Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.

This position is eligible for US Benefits - Select. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 - 240 hours of vacation per year for full time employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
