Could you be the full-time Planning Manager in Toronto, Canada, we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in project planning and time management to a transformative initiative. You'll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in supporting scheduling teams and liaising with construction and testing and commissioning teams, ensuring seamless internal and external reporting. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Project Managers, Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams), coordinate scheduling deliverables, and provide proactive updates and insights to key stakeholders.

You'll specifically take care of developing and maintaining project schedules and facilitating internal and external stakeholder synchronization, but also contribute to the construction and testing & commissioning knowledge of the project schedule.

We'll look to you for:
  • Defining and maintaining the Project Time Management Plan and keeping it updated based on stakeholder inputs
  • Building and maintaining the project schedule, ensuring it reflects the project execution strategy and contractual targets
  • Coordinating internal and external stakeholder commitments and managing schedule interfaces
  • Performing schedule analysis, trade-offs, and risk assessments to address potential delays or gaps
  • Leading periodic project schedule sessions and providing timely updates on schedule progress
  • Preparing progress reports for customers, core teams, and partners
  • Promoting time management awareness within the project team
  • Coaching planning teams on best practices and contributing to the return of experience (REX)

  • 7-10 years' experience in project planning or scheduling management, preferably in complex, design-build projects
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS-Project software
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in MS-Excel
  • Experience with resource-loaded schedules, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Schedule of Values (SOV)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
  • Knowledge of railway products and systems is desirable but not required

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $110,000 - $145,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
