Full Job Description
Job Description X-energy LLC is hiring multiple mid-level Planner-Schedulers to join its Project Controls team. This role is responsible for providing schedule management support, both internally and externally to X-energy’s partners and clients, under the supervision of the appropriate leadership.

Job Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, and maintain detailed resource-loaded schedules, considering the industry-known best practices of schedule management, performance work statements (PWSs), technical proposals, work breakdown structures (WBSs), and directions from senior project managers and technical leads.
  • Create, develop, and maintain schedules baselines.
  • Work with all stakeholders to collect progress and performance updates and keep the schedules up to date.
  • Perform schedule analysis, including critical path and float analysis, near-critical path activities’ assessment, “what-if” scenarios/analysis, schedule variances, etc., and create related reports as directed and requested.
  • Perform schedule health-checks/audits considering industry-known best practices/policies (DCMA 14-Point Assessment, GAO, etc.) and/or the internally developed/adopted evaluation criteria/scorecard.
  • Perform schedule impact analysis to support risk and issue management, and change management, processes.
  • Support proposal related efforts including, but not limited to, WBS and schedule development and cost and resource analysis/projections.
  • Conduct Schedule Management trainings and brief Schedule management analysis as needed.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Lead the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document, without close supervision and some latitude for independent judgment.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to more junior team members with the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, business, engineering, or science is required.
  • Level III: Typically, five plus years’ experience in schedule management or project management or related industry experience.
  • Level IV: Typically, ten plus years’ experience in schedule management or project management or related industry experience.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies, processes, and policies.
  • Experience utilizing industry-known best practices of scheduling management and schedule health-check/audit process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using scheduling management software such as Primavera P6.
  • Experience working in the nuclear, commercial construction, federal defense, and/or federal energy industries.

Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD

Work Schedule: 5 days a week in office 
Travel Expectations: Up to 10% as needed
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri

Compensation

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual’s qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:

Level III: $125,000- $155,000; Level IV: $150,000- $175,000
