Planner II

About the Role

The Planner II is responsible for developing and maintaining production plans that support customer demand, inventory objectives, and operational efficiency. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Service, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability, production readiness, and on-time delivery performance.

The Planner II operates with a high degree of independence, balancing short-term execution with longer-term planning requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating supply and production risks.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to support customer demand and business objectives.
  • Analyze demand, inventory levels, capacity constraints, and material availability to optimize production plans.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to address shortages, expedite critical materials, and minimize disruptions.
  • Monitor key planning metrics including on-time delivery, inventory levels, backlog, and production attainment.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing leadership to balance workload and production capacity across work centers.
  • Participate in Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) activities and demand review processes.
  • Identify planning risks and recommend corrective actions to ensure continuity of supply and customer satisfaction.
  • Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and phase-in/phase-out activities.
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters and master data within ERP systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning processes, inventory performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and planning analyses for management review.


Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, materials planning, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or a related field.
  • Experience working in an ERP/MRP environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage changing business demands.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a lean environment.
  • Experience participating in SIOP or integrated business planning processes.
  • Knowledge of demand planning, inventory management, and capacity planning principles.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar enterprise systems.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $76,000 - $101,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
