Full Job Description
WW+P Architects + Planners Inc. is looking for a motivated, proactive and highly collaborative Planner at the intermediate level to join our team in our Vancouver studio. The role is to work with the WW+P team to deliver pragmatic and forward-thinking plans, policy documents, reports and strategies that support our private and public sector clients.
Role and Responsibilities
• Support project management of development approvals and public policy projects on behalf of public and private sector clients;
• Contribute to the preparation of project deliverables, including planning reports, policy studies, and planning analysis;
• Collaborating as part of inter-disciplinary teams to seamlessly marry planning and design;
• Collaborate with a range of subject matter expert teams to position, pursue and deliver great projects that have a positive city-building impact;
• Work with colleagues locally and across the world to broaden our areas of practice and ability to contribute meaningfully to tackling critical urban issues.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in planning;
• Minimum of two years of experience in urban planning in Canada, with a strong preference for planning experience in British Columbia;
• Fluent and deep experience with Provincial, Municipal Policy (Growth Planning, Supportive 'Infrastructure' Planning (e.g. Transportation and Movement, Housing), Official Community Plans, Neighbourhood Plans, etc.
• Development planning and planning approvals management expertise, including the authorship and coordination of planning studies, design justifications, and other planning reports required for municipal approvals;
• Policy planning experience, such as preparing Official Community Plans, secondary plans and/or updates to municipal planning tools (process improvements, zoning by-laws) is an asset;
• Public engagement and consultation experience.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000 commensurate based on experience.
