Job Type:RegularThe Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning and organizing equipment maintenance, servicing, and repair work for the entire plant. He will have to participate in the establishment, improvement and maintenance of the preventive maintenance program and the structure of the department. He will have to work closely with the maintenance supervisor, the buyer-warehouseman, the team of electromechanics as well as the supervisors of the other departments.

‘What you’ll be responsible for each day:’
70% Maintenance Planning
- Plan and organize maintenance activities to ensure efficient execution while complying with quality, health, and safety standards.
- Plan the human, material, and technical resources required for scheduled maintenance interventions.
- Analyze maintenance history and validate the root causes of equipment failures and performance deviations using reliability best practices.
- Monitor and follow up on work orders and maintenance activities.
- Communicate maintenance issues, priorities, and solutions to various stakeholders.
- Complete maintenance performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
- Participate in failure analysis, troubleshooting, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain planning, scheduling, kitting, 5S, and other maintenance processes.
- Support the implementation of the Operational Excellence Program (AOS) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage maintenance priorities based on operational requirements, available resources, and budget considerations.
20% Store Management and Purchasing Process
- Coordinate purchasing activities related to maintenance requirements.
- Oversee purchase orders, inventory management, ordering processes, invoices, and supplier follow-up.
- Provide functional oversight to the Buyer-Storekeeper regarding the procurement of maintenance parts and components.
- Ensure the availability of parts required for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Contribute to maintenance cost control and budget management.
10% Subcontractor Coordination
- Welcome and coordinate subcontractors working on-site.
- Facilitate the start-up of contracted work, including the management of required work permits.
- Coordinate external resources during shutdowns and major maintenance projects.
- Act as a backup for the Maintenance Supervisor when required.
- Participate in the after-hours maintenance on-call program.
‘The individual who will own this role’
- Diploma in Maintenance Planning, DEP in Electromechanics, DEP in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Experience Required: Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, preferably in the food industry required.
- Technical experience in the world of automation, networks, electricity, instrumentation, control or other.
- Experience in similar functions an asset.
