Plan Administrator

Full-time / Benefits Eligible

Location: 1077 Gorge Blvd, Akron, OH 44310

Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of multiple, qualified and non-qualified plans, defined benefit, defined contribution, and retiree medical plan administration, including oversight of plan operations, plan interpretation, plan design, plan documents, regulatory compliance communications, testing, and valuations to achieve financial objectives related to the retirement plans. Ensures regulatory compliance under the DOL, ERISA, PBGC and IRS. Serves as a resource to employees, retirees, committee members including senior leadership, outside legal counsel, auditors, actuaries, attorneys, and other business partners regarding the retirement plans. These functions are generally to be performed independently or where necessary with the assistance of the appropriate inside or outside professionals.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Formal Education Required:
a. Bachelor's Degree in human resources, accounting, business or closely related field of study; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Experience & Training Required:
a. Minimum of seven (7) years of human resource experience with emphasis/specialization in employee benefits/retirement plan administration to include analysis of financial data.

3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Must have strong organizational skills
b. Advanced working knowledge and understanding of retirement plan administration and associated ERISA, DOL and IRS tax laws
c. Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook
d. Excellent customer service skills including the ability to provide superior follow-up service and issue resolution
e. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to think and make decisions quickly while maintaining accuracy
f. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
g. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity

5. Level of Physical Demands:
h. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently

$41.15/hr - $61.72/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
