Full Job Description
Our US Pipeline Safety Compliance team is evolving to meet the needs of a dynamic regulatory environment and expanding compliance program requirements across the US Natural Gas business. We are seeking a Pipeline Safety Compliance Business Analyst to support process improvement, analytics, compliance program effectiveness, and technology enablement.

This position serves as a key resource responsible for identifying opportunities to improve current processes in areas of tracking regulatory commitments, inspection management and sharing of learnings throughout the organization. An additional focus area will be to mature business analytics that will demonstrate program effectiveness, business trends and organization impacts. To align with the current AI Initiative, this role will also work directly with the Director, Pipeline Safety Compliance on development and implementation of an AI strategy to improve efficiency and effectiveness. The role is expected to work closely with Operations, Operation Services, Engineering, Pipe Integrity, Legal, and external regulatory agencies.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting strategic initiatives across the US Pipeline Safety Compliance Program.

What you'll do

  • Develop future-state process recommendations, business requirements, and implementation plans.
  • Support change management for new tools, dashboards, workflows, or governance processes.
  • Track process improvement actions, owners, due dates, and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain compliance performance metrics, dashboards, and recurring management reports.
  • Map current-state compliance processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, or automate workflows.
  • Analyze inspection, enforcement, audit, commitment, and corrective action data to identify trends and business impacts.
  • Translate data into actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Support data quality, reporting consistency, and standard definitions across compliance programs.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to ensure tools align with compliance needs, data governance, and user workflows.
  • Assist with developing use cases, business requirements, testing plans, and adoption support for AI-enabled solutions.
  • Support development and implementation of digital, automation, and AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, knowledge management, and decision support.
  • Develop recurring reports and presentations for management highlighting regulatory trends and business outcomes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying best practices and lessons learned from regulatory inspections, enforcement actions and industry activities.
  • Support other compliance program initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Minor administrative support, such as supporting the budgeting process and event planning
  • Support interactions with Federal and State regulatory agencies as required.
  • Additional responsibilities will be determined by current and future business needs.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in business analysis, systems analysis, energy operations, commercial operations, or data analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level communications.
  • Analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and working with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint).
  • Experience with reporting and data-visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across business and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, adaptability, and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work independently.


Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in the natural gas pipeline, energy, utility, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and Information Technology.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Enablon or other Incident/Compliance Management software
  • Experience in the natural gas, liquids pipeline, LNG, utility or energy sector.
  • Experience developing dashboards, metrics, visualizations and management reports using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Experience leveraging emerging technologies, data analytics, automation tools, or artificial intelligence solutions to improve information analysis, reporting, and business decision support.
