Individual contributor engineering position responsible for complex device / subassembly level characterization on current and next generation photonic integrated circuits (PIC) NION2026 Responsibilities - Define and implement characterization methodologies for photonic integrated circuit devices using fundamental and advanced measurement techniques. - Own schedules and milestones for test development projects and drive projects to conclusion. - Implement solutions to adapt existing test hardware and software to rapid changes in device design and measurement requirements. - Provide development-phase experimental device data which can guide design improvements and provide better understanding of device behavior. - Analyze wafer test data from production tests and drive improvements in test capability, test capacity, and tool reliability. Qualifications - Hands-on experience with advanced characterization techniques for electronic devices. Ability to develop a fundamental understanding of device behavior through experimental characterization. - Strong foundation in semiconductor optoelectronics at the device level, including semiconductor lasers, optical amplifiers, and attenuators. - Basic understanding of passive optical fundamentals, including waveguide modes, polarization, coherence, and interference. - Strong software development skills for test automation and data analysis.
