Could you be the full-time PI Field Engineer in Boston, MA we're looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside a collaborative and dynamic team of professionals.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our products during the Product Introduction (PI) and warranty phases. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as Quality, Validation, and Certification), provide technical guidance to stakeholders, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products.
You'll specifically take care of diagnosing equipment malfunctions and recommending corrective actions, but also driving reliability growth through failure investigation and implementing solutions.
We'll look to you for:
• Supporting technical activities on Alstom products during PI, Commissioning, and Warranty phases
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and recommending solutions
• Defining troubleshooting methodologies and guiding technicians in repairs
• Providing feedback on technical documentation and identifying areas for improvement
• Driving containment actions to prevent the recurrence of failures
• Supporting the preparation and implementation of Field Modifications (FM)
• Ensuring the completeness and quality of input to Failure Management databases
• Facilitating technical reviews and ensuring effective communication across teams
• Applying EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) requirements on-site

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience or understanding of rolling-stock engineering and validation
• Knowledge of propulsion/traction systems
• Familiarity with instrumentation setup for analysis and data collection
• A structured and organized approach with strong time management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work hands-on
• Operational proficiency in English for reading and writing technical documentation

Salary Range
$100,000 - $115,000
