Physicist-Medical

Are you passionate about patient care and ready to make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer? Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers is looking for a Medical Physicist. In this role, you'll partner with physicians, clinicians, and technical staff to ensure the highest standards in radiation therapy, imaging, and patient safety.

What You'll Do:

As a key clinical expert, you will:
  • Ensure the safe and accurate delivery of radiation therapy treatments
  • Perform equipment calibration, quality assurance (QA), and compliance checks
  • Collaborate with oncologists and care teams to develop and optimize treatment plans
  • Lead efforts in radiation safety and regulatory compliance
  • Monitor and evaluate new technologies to enhance patient outcomes
  • Provide training and guidance to medical and technical staff


What We Required Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Physics, or related field
  • Board certification or board-eligible (e.g., ABR or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of radiation therapy, dosimetry, and QA processes
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred:
  • Experience with advanced treatment techniques (IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, etc.)
  • Familiarity with leading treatment planning systems and imaging technologies
