Position OverviewDeaconess Health System is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Psychiatrist to join our established outpatient behavioral health clinic in Henderson, Indiana. This role focuses on providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for adults and/or adolescents in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities- Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide medication management and ongoing therapeutic support for patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
- Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, nurses, and case managers to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards for psychiatric care.
Qualifications- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency in Psychiatry.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Eligible for an Indiana medical license.
- ECFMG certification for international medical graduates (if applicable).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
