Job Description

Cape Fox Concentric Methods, LLC is seeking a Physician Assistant with Urology experience to work full time providing care to our deserving Air Force at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The salary for this for this exempt position has been established at: $155,000. This salary represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as 401K with company match. Accrued but unused paid time off will be paid upon termination. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Requirements
  • 24 months of clinical experience in the last 36 months.
  • Urology experience.
  • Certification as a PA by the National Committee on Certification Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a PA as required in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States

Duties
  • Supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated.
  • Perform specific diagnostic and therapeutic practices and procedures in accordance with scope of practice.
  • Identify a medical problem and determine appropriate action to meet the problem, including referral to a physician.
  • Examination of patients, formulation differential diagnostic plans, defines and orders required diagnostic testing.
  • Interpretations of examination findings and test results, and implementation of treatment plans.
  • Answering patient work telephone consults with the assistance of clinic staff.
  • Establish collaborative rapport with physician, nursing and others in order to promote and facilitate primary care services.
  • Direct and provide care for a variety of diseases and types of injuries (i.e., acute, chronic and minor trauma), and the skills to recognize emergency conditions to diagnose, prescribe for and treat diseases, disorders and injuries, and refer the more complex cases and serious conditions to qualified medical personnel and perform designated treatment.
  • Prepare records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordance with established procedures.
  • Educate patients and family member's healthy regimen and responsibility for achieving wellness.
  • Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling.
  • Prescribe in accordance with approved treatment protocols and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee approved medications and immunizations.
  • Direct and teach other staff, provide educational lectures and participate in in-service training to staff members.

Work Schedule:

0730 - 1630, Monday through Friday with a 1-hour lunch. Surgery Days 0700 - 1600 if assisting in surgery. Schedule may be flexible to accommodate needs of patients and in support of the clinic.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • 24 months experience in the last 36 months.
  • Urology experience required.
  • Experience working in a Military Training Facility (MTF).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (course C) is required from a nationally accredited agency (such as American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
