Full Job Description
To accomplish our goals, we are looking to hire a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team and assist our supervising physicians as Cardiology Extenders.

Essential Functions of the Role:

  • Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is permitted to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
  • Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
  • Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges.
  • Prescriptive authority as appropriate, per medical staff service privileging process.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State
  • Acute Care Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross


Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the Cardiology field


Work Environment

This position is a clinical position and will report to the office Monday- Friday from 6:30 am - 5:00 PM.

Physical Requirements

This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
