Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA)

Reports To: Dr. Tian

Location: Kettle Point

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The NP/PA will be responsible for delivering specialized care in non-opioid interventional pain management at the largest Orthopedics practice in the state of Rhode Island. They will conduct assessments, formulate treatment plans, and provide patient education, playing a key role in optimizing musculoskeletal health and enhancing overall patient well-being.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the physician.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and non-surgical interventions.
  • Design and oversee rehabilitation programs to improve patient function.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including orthopedic surgeons and therapists.
  • Educate patients on conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Assist in medical procedures and contribute to pre- and post-operative care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the physician/manager to meet department needs.


Requirements:
  • Completion of accredited NP or PA program.
  • State (RI) licensure and national certification.
  • Experience with pain management is preferred but not required or a new PA graduate with commitment in pain medicine.
  • Interpersonal skills including excellent communication skills to deal effectively with staff, patients, and physicians in a knowledgeable, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient records.
  • Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.
