PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

JOB SUMMARY: Join our team as a Physician Assistant, working closely with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Medical Assistants to provide excellent patient care. You'll examine patients, diagnose conditions, and create treatment plans in a friendly, supportive environment. SUPPORT: You'll have a Dedicated Medical Assistant AND Medical Scribe to help streamline patient care and documentation, so you can focus on providing high-quality care!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Physically examine patients; perform initial patient screenings and patient history and physical examinations.
  • Conduct health assessments including recording complete medical history.
  • Record symptoms; update patient records and check records for accuracy at each patient appointment.
  • Order and interpret laboratory test results.
  • Make diagnoses; analyze test data and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options.
  • Develop a treatment plan that may include applicable therapies.
  • Follow up on a patient to determine the effectiveness of recommended treatments.
  • Deliver quality care while maintaining all company metrics pertaining to productivity.
  • Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidance for any patients with critical conditions.
  • Provide patient education to promote habits that will prevent diseases and maintain good health.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Active Physician Assistant license in Texas.
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).


EXPERIENCE:

  • Physician Assistant: 2 years (Preferred).
  • Family Practice: 2 years (Preferred).
