Job DescriptionAtlantic Health is Seeking a Physician Assistant for ENT in New Providence, New JerseyAtlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest integrated health care systems, is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to be part of the ENT group at New Providence, affiliated with Overlook Medical Center. The team consists of experienced board-certified surgeons and a skilled physician assistant who are experts in many types of surgeries, from in-office procedures to minimally invasive procedures. The candidate will have the opportunity to join a busy and growing practice, located in an office which was recently renovated with 13 exam rooms and state of the art equipment.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an OR setting with in-patient follow-up or consult. The responsibilities will be a multi-venue (OR, ER, hospital floor, office) and consist of a combination of direct patient care (inpatient and outpatient). The Physician Assistant performs assessments of health status for both the outpatient and inpatient settings, participates in diagnosis of health status, develops plans of care, and implementation of treatment. Outpatient office responsibilities include coordination of preoperative patient care, ordering tests, and preoperative clearances, scheduling procedures and providing psycho-social emotional support for patients.
QualificationsCandidate requirements: - Master's Degree
- Successful competition of Physician Assistant Program
- New Jersey PA License Required
- ACLS & BLS Required
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
