The PA must be a graduate of an AMA recognized PA training program.
Licensure: RI Physician Assistant License.

Responsibilities of medication ordering:- Written Orders: The PA may write orders according to the PA prescription regulations of the state, and may renew or rewrite orders previously approved by the supervisory physician.
- Verbal Orders: The PA is authorized to give verbal orders which need to be co-signed within 24 hours by the supervising physician.
