Overview: Nexus HR is looking for an experienced Physical Therapist for a reputable clinic in for a reputable rehabilitation facility with locations in the following states: New Mexico, Arizona, California, Washington, Alaska, and Texas. Duties and Responsibilities:- Adhere to state Practice Act laws governing Physical Therapists and supervision of staff.
- Review and comply with the Clinical Operations Policies and Procedures Manual annually.
- Complete all required Medicare compliance and OSHA training each year.
- Evaluate, treat, and direct skilled treatment for patients needing physical therapy; document medical necessity clearly.
- Maintain ongoing documentation of goals, progress, and medical necessity, ensuring timely completion of all required forms (e.g., pre-certifications, daily notes).
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, physicians, patients, and third-party payers.
- Attend facility meetings as directed by the Center Manager, including utilization review and disaster preparedness.
- Complete continuing education courses to meet state licensure requirements.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Physical Therapy programs in the US
- Graduates from non-CAPTE programs with equivalent education are welcome to apply
- Current state licensure/registration as a physical therapist.
- Strong leadership skills to supervise assistants and aides effectively.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and clinical problem-solving abilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in clinical documentation and management reporting.
- Fine motor skills for accurate writing and handling of therapeutic equipment.
