Description
Position SummaryAs a Physical Therapist Assistant, the candidate will be responsible for providing direct clinical care to patients following the supervising Physical Therapist's plan of care. You will support Physical Therapists and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner. This position will see a variety of orthopedic conditions including acute work-related injuries, pre, and post-surgical injuries and conditions, and workplace wellness and injury prevention.

Schedule: Three schedule options are available: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
Compensation: Starting compensation range is $36.00- $42.00 hourly + quarterly SPIF incentive opportunity. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Responsibilities- Execute plan of care and follow-up treatment visits with a focus on rehabilitation.
- Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises, home programs, and patient education.
- Maintain open communication with the patient, supervising therapist, and referring physician (when applicable) regarding the patient's plan of care and progress.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation.
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with exercises, functional activities, and use of mobility aids.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, reporting changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provide education to patients and caregivers on exercises, safety practices, and home programs.
- Maintain accurate treatment records in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas.
- Support patient motivation and encourage adherence to therapy programs.
- Adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards of practice.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Active California PTA license required (or license in progress)
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Knowledge of physical therapy office management systems and procedures.
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
- Outpatient experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply!
