PHOENIX FIELD ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY: As a Phoenix Field Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing Phoenix Controls systems in accordance with project plans, specifications, and contract documents. This role requires a strong understanding of building control and mechanical system performance at both the system-wide and campus level, with a particular focus on critical environments such as laboratories and healthcare facilities.
You will ensure that all project documentation is accurate, thorough, and up to date, while also providing supplemental project management support as needed, including direct interaction with customers and stakeholders. In addition, you will coordinate with Phoenix Controls suppliers to ensure timely and accurate product ordering, delivery, and fulfillment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Complete Phoenix control system responsibility
- Execute Phoenix Controls configuration
- Manage the start-up and commissioning of Phoenix Systems
- Engineer field changes and maintain as-built documentation
- Troubleshoot component and equipment problems
- Conduct on-site owner training as part of project closeout
- Support project management tasks including job planning, labor planning, scheduling, fiscal analysis, etc.
- Material ordering and coordination
- Manage time to complete assignments on time and within budget
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Proven skills working with Phoenix configuration software
- Extensive knowledge of critical environment systems, specifically BSL3 Labs
- Proven analytical skills
- Exceptional interactive and communication skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised
- ACAD skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position involves a mix of office-based work and regular visits to active project jobsites, which may account for up to 50% of working hours. Jobsites reflect typical construction and outdoor environments and require the use of personal protective equipment. The role includes consistent physical activity, often requiring extended periods on your feet. Candidates must be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds more frequently. Comfort with climbing ladders periodically is also necessary. The position may involve small, repetitive motions and the use of hand tools.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS - Annual base salary ranges from $68,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

- Typical Monday - Friday working hours with flexibility as needed
- Local travel required up to with occasional overnight trips
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE - 2+ years working directly with Phoenix Controls preferred
- Engineering undergraduate degree
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer programming experience
- Building Mechanical system experience
- Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits
