We are seeking a reliable and confident Pharmacy Supervisor to oversee the daily pharmacy operations of a community-based retail pharmacy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable Monday-Friday schedule, a manageable prescription volume, and a flexible working environment.
Responsibilities- Serve as the Pharmacy Supervisor and ensure pharmacy operations comply with applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Review, verify, and accurately dispense prescription medications while maintaining a high standard of patient safety.
- Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, including prescription workflow, inventory, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy support staff.
- Communicate with patients, physicians, insurance providers, and other healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions and medication-related questions.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and support the continued growth and efficient operation of the pharmacy.
Requirements- Active New York State pharmacist license in good standing.
- Ability and willingness to serve as the Supervising Pharmacist / Pharmacist-in-Charge.
- Strong understanding of retail pharmacy operations, prescription processing, and pharmacy compliance requirements.
- Experience with Micro Merchant Systems, or similar pharmacy management software preferred; training can be provided if needed.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a responsible and dependable approach to work.
- Previous pharmacist experience is preferred, but qualified recent pharmacy graduates with the appropriate licensure and knowledge may also be considered.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10 AM-5:00 PM.
