Job SummarySeeking a Director of Pharmacy to lead pharmacy operations for a community health organization. This individual will serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and oversee the day-to-day operations, financial performance, compliance, and strategic direction of two outpatient pharmacy locations. The Site Director will work closely with health center leadership and pharmacy operations to ensure high-quality, patient-centered pharmacy services while driving operational excellence and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities - Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for the pharmacy locations.
- Manage day-to-day pharmacy, clinical, and business operations.
- Oversee pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to ensure operational success.
- Manage pharmacy purchasing and inventory to balance patient needs and cost controls.
- Oversee 340B program operations, purchasing, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Partner with finance teams to review and manage pharmacy financial performance.
- Prepare and present operational and performance reports to leadership.
- Collaborate with health center leadership to improve patient access and pharmacy services.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence efforts.
- Maintain a strong patient-centered approach to care delivery.
Qualifications - Current, active Washington Pharmacist License.
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (RPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program.
- Minimum 5 years of retail or outpatient pharmacy leadership experience.
Experience - Previous supervisory or management experience.
- Experience working with Medicaid and Medicare populations.
- Experience working within Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).
- Knowledge of 340B programs and compliance.
- Experience working with PBMs and third-party payers.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Experience serving underserved or vulnerable patient populations.
Skills - Strong communication, leadership, and team development skills.
- Strong business, financial, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Washington Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
