The UW Medical Center-Montlake Pharmacy Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Pharmacy Quality Assurance Coordinator (Pharmacist 4).

WORK SCHEDULE
  • Full-Time / 40 hours per week
  • Day Shifts


POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • Direct, develop, implement and evaluate quality assurance programs across UW Medicine Pharmacies.
  • Responsibilities include working with area managers to design and implement quality assurance policies and standards in accordance with the pharmacy department's standard operating procedures.
  • The position requires working independently in a highly efficient and organized manner.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead UW Medicine Department of Pharmacy's quality assurance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and system expectations governing pharmaceutical services.
  • Develop, implement and maintain, in collaboration with pharmacy managers, training programs, and competency assessments for pharmacy personnel.
  • Compose and implement reporting of key performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities
  • Proactively lead hospital-wide preparation for regulatory body surveys and investigations, ensuring continuous preparedness.
  • Lead projects related to process improvement and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of technical advances and current practice standards in quality assurance.
  • Create and maintain policies and standard operating procedures for the UW Medicine pharmacy department.
  • Assume other responsibilities in the management of the pharmacy department quality assurance program as delegated.


DESIRED:
  • Prior experience leading a health-system quality assurance program.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating and collaborating effectively in a health-system environment.


REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Three years experience in pharmacy practice. Months spent in the completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists accredited residency training program may substitute month-for-month for the experience.

$162,672.00 annual

$232,728.00 annual
