Job Description :

Responsible for the development, build, implementation and ongoing maintenance of all aspects of pharmacy-related applications, clinical information systems, and computerized pharmacy systems, software and hardware. Provides resource expertise for planning and implementing system-wide pharmacy informatics projects.

Your Job Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
• Licensed as a registered pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. If not currently licensed in Texas, will work towards licensure within 6 months of hire date.
• Willow Certified
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to prioritize multiple job tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrable use of spreadsheet, database, and data query software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Has experience managing employees and leading clinical informatics projects. Has experience with governance, change control management
• Has practiced as a clinical pharmacist in the hospital environment allowing for full understanding of inpatient pharmacy workflow.
• 5 years of experience with Pharmacy Information Systems preferred

Job Roles:

Duty 1: Develop, grow, maintain, and monitor pharmacy information systems (e.g. Epic, etc.) to optimize workflows, enhance Physician/Pharmacist/Patient experience, improve patient outcome and positively affect financial outcome.
Duty 2: Work independently to function as System Administrator/Project Manager accountable for organizing and completing the validation of changes to the pharmacy modules, including integrated testing, training, functional support, auditing modifications /implementations, and documentation. Review update notes and make appropriate build changes and create training documents.
Duty 3: Work in collaboration with physician, pharmacy, nurse leadership/champions and other health informatics teams in a positive, constructive and efficient manner.
Duty 4: Monitors billing accuracy, compliance issues, and structure: Ensures data integrity through interaction with financial and outcomes systems and auditing verification; Coordinates CDM maintenance with Finance and Pharmacy Billing Technician; Monitors input/outcome data; Assists in investigating and responding to billing audits
Duty 5: Documents activities, help desk tickets and project trackers (Ivanti, Sherlock, Data Courier, SharePoint, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner and makes available for continual review.
Duty 6: Build and maintenance of order sets, drug/mixture build in accordance build guidelines and standards.
Duty 7: Provides education to pharmacy staff in regards to new hire training, new workflows, workflow changes, etc. through in-class training, tip sheets, pharmacy newsletters, etc.
Duty 8: Adheres to Health Informatics policy, procedures and communication/office etiquette
Duty 9: On-Call support MDMC, MCMC, MMMC, MRMC, MCCC, MRCC, MSMC, MLMC, MCEL and JV's during non-business hours.
Duty 10: Performs any special projects and other duties as assigned.
