About the Role:

The Pharmacy Director will lead and oversee all pharmacy operations within the organization, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality pharmaceutical services. Minimum Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the United States.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive pharmacy experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrated experience in budget management and operational oversight within a healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate residency training or board certification in a pharmacy specialty.
• Experience working in a hospital, health system, or large multi-site pharmacy environment.
• Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong background in clinical pharmacy services and medication safety programs.
• Advanced leadership training or certification, such as Certified Pharmacy Executive (CPE).

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the pharmacy department, including hiring, training, and evaluating pharmacy staff.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee medication procurement, inventory management, and distribution to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize medication therapy management and support patient safety initiatives.
• Monitor pharmacy performance metrics and financial budgets to drive operational efficiency and quality improvement.
• Stay current with advancements in pharmacy practice, technology, and regulatory changes to inform departmental strategies.
• Serve as a key liaison between the pharmacy department and other organizational units, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
