Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations are followed.
  • Supervise daily pharmacy operations to ensure the accurate and timely preparation and delivery of medications.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage, motivate, and develop a team of 20+ employees
  • Lead, coach, and support pharmacy staff, including conducting performance reviews and administering disciplinary actions with appropriate documentation.
  • Create and manage staffing schedules, PTO requests, pharmacist coverage, and scheduling systems.
  • Resolve pharmacy related issues internally with staff and externally with facilities and vendors.
  • Prepare and submit required timesheets, expense reports, and other administrative documentation.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring staff are trained and compliant.
  • Conduct medication audits and monitor operational quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate workflow across pharmacy departments to ensure efficient operations and on time delivery of services.
  • Serve as a primary communication liaison between pharmacy staff, leadership, and facility partners.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the implementation of operational best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida
  • Long Term Care experience preferred
  • Previous experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Computer skills
  • Framework / ECM software knowledge a plus
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, and crouch frequently
  • Ability to perform light lifting (up to 10 pounds) and repetitious physical activity
