Job Summary
A closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy serving assisted living facilities in Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team. This role requires expertise in LTC pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the dispensing of medications for LTC patients in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy in prescription processing and medication management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and facility staff to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and staff.
  • Assist in inventory management and quality assurance programs.
  • Oversee and manage the dispensing of medications for LTC patients in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy in prescription processing and medication management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and facility staff to optimize patient care.
  • Conduct medication reconciliation for patients transitioning between different levels of care, such as SNF and acute care settings.
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and staff.
  • Assist in inventory management and quality assurance programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Oversee staff training and performance evaluations.
  • Manage audits, inspections, and licensing requirements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and facility administrators.


Qualifications:

  • Pharmacist license in the state of California (active and in good standing).
  • Experience in a closed-door LTC pharmacy is required.
  • Proficiency with FrameworkLTC software is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulations affecting LTC pharmacy operations.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and optimize pharmacy workflow.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
