Summary:A 52-week post-graduate educational training program under the direction of an advanced pharmacy preceptor(s).
Responsibilities:- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Develops knowledge, skills, and experience to become an advanced pharmacy clinician who manages and improves the medication use process ensuring safe, appropriate, and cost-effective therapies for patients.
- Develops and expands upon the knowledge and skills required to provide evidence based, patient-centered medication therapy management within interdisciplinary teams.
- Develops leadership skill to effect change within the pharmacy clinical and operation sections of acute care hospitals.
- Expands upon and improves the pharmacotherapeutic knowledge and communication skills required to provide medication, therapeutics, and practice related education.
- Develops the knowledge and skills to utilize medical informatics by utilizing the informatics tool available at CHRISTUS.

Job Requirements:
Education/Skills- Graduate from an ACPE accredited Doctor of Pharmacy Program required
ExperienceLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications- Must be licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure within 90 days from first day of employment unless a formal program extension is approved for extenuating circumstances, as guided per ASHP
- BLS required
- ACLS or PALS required (if pediatric practice)
