OPEN JOB: Pharmacist In Charge (Retail) LOCATION: Champaign, IllinoisBASE SALARY: $140,000 to $160,000WORK HOURS Monday-Friday - normally between 8:30AM-5:00PMIDEAL CANDIDATE- Candidates should have min. 3 years' pharmacy manager experience.
- Candidate should have previous retail pharmacy experience to be considered.
- Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree
- Active pharmacy license for the state of Illinois
DESCRIPTIONPreparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients, leading a team of pharmacy technicians and managing the overall day-to day pharmacy responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Review and execute provider's prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality
- Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
- Maintain full control over medication inventory, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration
- Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice.
- Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient
- Maintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensed
- Keep abreast and stay current with HIPAA and Frauds Waste and Abuse credentialing
- Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures
- Responsible for ensuring that the Pharmacy and its employees are compliant with Federal, State and Local laws regulated
- Ensures that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policies
- Responsible for directing the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians, this includes providing input into performance evaluations and advising Senior Management of any behavioral and/or performance issues.
- Responsible for managing the Pharmacy Technicians schedules. This includes advising Senior Management of any request for leave of absences or medical accommodations.
REQUIRED:- Current License to practice (PharmD) in Illinois
- Excellent oral, written skills
- Fluent in the English Language
- Previous leadership
- Must be able to utilize Patient Management System in the Pharmacy
- Min 5 years or more of retail pharmacy experience
