Full Job Description
Pharmacists at Seattle Children's Hospital provide safe, effective, and cost-efficient pharmaceutical care for a wide range of pediatric patients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to oversight of the medication use process, managing collaborative drug therapy agreements, therapeutic drug monitoring, providing drug information, developing departmental and organizational guidelines, precepting pharmacy learners, staff supervision, and providing education to health care professionals, patients, and caregivers.

Hematology-Oncology Specific Responsibilities:

Facilitates transitions of care of oncology and transplanted patients by:

  • Counseling patients and caregivers regarding medication therapy.


  • Assessing and supporting patient adherence to medication regimens.


  • Ensuring accuracy of discharge medications as appropriate.


  • Maintains competency in oncology, transplant, and cellular therapies as designated by accrediting bodies.


  • Coordinates and supervises the medication use process with regards to chemotherapy regimens and immunosuppression. Oversees safe ordering, verification, preparation, and distribution of chemotherapy agents.


Required Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy.

Required Credentials
Licensed by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacist.

Preferred
Hospital pharmacy experience
Pediatric pharmacy experience
Pharmacy residency training

Compensation Range
$142,991.00 - $214,487.00 per year

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
