What You'll DoAs a Pharmacist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring medications are reviewed, verified, and dispensed accurately and efficiently to meet delivery schedules and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Review, verify, and approve prescription orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness
- Evaluate drug therapies for allergies, interactions, contraindications, refill compliance, and patient safety concerns
- Ensure all prescriptions are processed, packaged, and dispensed according to facility requirements and applicable regulations
- Provide pharmacist oversight for medication preparation, order entry, packaging, and dispensing activities
- Support technicians and serve as a clinical resource for pharmacy staff
- Communicate with healthcare providers, nurses, and facility personnel regarding medication-related questions and order clarifications
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Support inventory management, product procurement, and shortage resolution activities
- Investigate and document medication errors, discrepancies, and quality concerns
- Assist with prescription transfers and other pharmacy operations as needed
- Help maintain a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement

QualificationsRequired- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Active Pharmacist License in good standing with no restrictions
- 1+ year of pharmacist experience
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn pharmacy software systems
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and willing to adjust schedules when necessary to help ensure continuous pharmacy operations and meet patient care commitments (Our pharmacy operates from 7:00 AM to 1:00 AM daily)
Preferred- Long-term care pharmacy experience
- Institutional pharmacy experience
- Consulting or clinical pharmacy experience
- Experience with high-volume pharmacy operations
