About the Role

As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of prescription orders to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Check prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and physician instructions
  • Identify and resolve prescribing, formulary, and therapeutic issues, collaborating proactively with healthcare providers to recommend formulary substitutions when deemed appropriate
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide prospective drug utilization review (DUR) to maintain high quality assurance practices
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and medication-related questions
  • Meet pharmacy services service levels agreements (SLAs) and accuracy/quality targets

  • Valid New York pharmacist license in good standing required
  • You have 1-2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience, retail pharmacy setting is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • You have a strong passion for helping people and delivering exceptional patient care outcomes and can work flexible pharmacy hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays if needed
  • You are available to work within the following hours:

    - An overnight pharmacist shift on a SET schedule of Sunday 7:30PM to 5:30AM, Monday to Wednesday 6PM to 4:00AM

    OR

    - A daytime pharmacist on a ROTATING schedule of four 10-hour weekly shifts, including weekend coverage every 3 weeks.
    - Shift times vary weekly, and are staffed from 6am to 4pm, 8am to 6pm, 9am to 7pm, 10am to 8pm, and 11am to 9pm.
