ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for filling and dispensing of medication orders, and proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs in the pharmacy.
Responsible for ordering, supplying, and maintaining necessary supplies of drugs to all patient care areas.
Maintains standards set by the department and translates policies and procedures in the daily operation of the pharmacy.
Acts as a drug information resource for medical staff, nursing staff, and patients.
Plans and organizes work schedule of support staff and pharmacists, as required.
Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
One to three years of registered pharmacist experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Basic computer skills are required.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Must hold a current state Pharmacist license.
De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire.
