Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:


The pharmacist will serve in the campus pharmacy to support pharmacy operations and work with key stakeholders toexpand and implement pharmacy services to the campus community. Additionally,the pharmacist will work with the Director of Community Practice Advancement todevelop advanced pharmacy services and implement within the greater Nashvillecommunity.

Essential Functions:

1. Serve as the pharmacist on duty for the Belmont University Campus Pharmacy by providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care for patients and/or their representatives, processing/dispensing prescriptions, providing education, guidance, supervision and training to students, technicians, and interns, administering immunizations, and complying with all laws, rules, and regulations.

2. Work with pharmacy manager to implement and expand pharmacy services offered within the campus pharmacy.

3. Work with Director of Community Pharmacy Practice Advancement todevelop and implement advanced pharmacy services to enhance community pharmacypractice and education.

4. Work with student organizations as preceptor on occasion during communityfacing events such as health fairs, educational, and screening activities.

Required Qualifications:

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
  • TN pharmacist license required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Experience implementing new services or projects within pharmacy department preferred.
  • Ability to participate and lead in all parts of the prescription filling process.


Required Education
Education: PharmD with a TN license. Community pharmacy residency preferred.

Required Experience
Experience: At least 1 year in community pharmacy or similar. Experience working as part of a team. Experience implementing new services or projects within pharmacy department preferred.

The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
