Location: Tulsa, OK

Facility: Ascension St. John Medical Center

Department/Specialty: In-Patient Pharmacy

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, 3-4 evening shifts per month, 2:30pm-11pm, every other weekend and every other holiday

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Ensure Patient Safety: Review medication orders to catch and prevent drug-related issues, making sure patients receive the correct medication, dosage, and administration.
  • Manage Pharmacy Operations: Supervise technicians to maintain an accurate and efficient workflow for preparing, storing, and dispensing medications.
  • Control Costs: Recommend less expensive, but equally effective, formulary alternatives to help the hospital manage medication expenses.
  • Educate and Inform: Serve as the go-to expert for drug information and provide education to both medical staff and patients, sometimes mentoring pharmacy students.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.


Education:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
