How you'll make an impact in this role- Ensure Patient Safety: Review medication orders to catch and prevent drug-related issues, making sure patients receive the correct medication, dosage, and administration.
- Manage Pharmacy Operations: Supervise technicians to maintain an accurate and efficient workflow for preparing, storing, and dispensing medications.
- Control Costs: Recommend less expensive, but equally effective, formulary alternatives to help the hospital manage medication expenses.
- Educate and Inform: Serve as the go-to expert for drug information and provide education to both medical staff and patients, sometimes mentoring pharmacy students.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
What additional preferences we're seeking- 2 years of hospital Pharmacy experience preferred
- Working knowledge of computers
- Excellent interpersonal skills
