How you'll make an impact in this role- Medication Management: Assure the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders.
- Clinical Assessment: Review medication orders to identify and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems, recommending alternatives when necessary.
- Preparation & Dispensing: Compound and accurately dispense medications for delivery to patients and specific care areas.
- Education & Consultation: Provide drug information and education to medical staff while offering counseling to patients.
- Supervision & Collaboration: Oversee technical personnel in the pharmacy and communicate with physicians to facilitate patient care.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
