Periop Enterprise Coordinator - Full-time

Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Periop Enterprise Coordinator at our Integrated Services Center, in Omaha NE. 

Shift:

  • Full Time (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week) and Benefits eligible

  • Monday – Friday / First Shift

Periop Enterprise Coordinator Description:
Conflict resolve resource limitations from remote locations for multiple surgical locations to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Problem-solve and expedite communications with other health care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Provide, delegate, and coordinate tasks needing to be expedited with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients. Ensure clinician satisfaction and resolve issues in a timely manner. Coordinate, implement, and evaluate processes to meet the educational and competency needs of team members through effective use of a variety of learning activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years recent clinical experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.

  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills required.

  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.

  •  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading/supervising a health care team, or in a related area preferred.

  • Prior experience in a management/leadership position preferred.

  • Based on position, prior experience in one or more of the following areas including emergency department, cardiovascular, oncology, solid organ transplant, perioperative and special procedures in applicable nursing specialty area preferred.

  • Master's degree in healthcare related field preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility preferred.

  • Ability to multi-task and work-through competing priorities preferred.

  • Ability to solve complex problems through a well-ordered approach preferred.

  • Ability to balance and prioritize diverse clinical and leadership responsibilities preferred.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish and English in some clinic settings preferred.

  • Previous work history in the logistics of complex environments including managing many resources to align good customer service preferred.

  • Magnet approved certification in related area preferred.
