Responsibilities

  • Independently perform detailed adult cardiac ultrasound exams and procedures using advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy and techniques.
  • Conduct stress/echoes, dobutamine echoes, and contrast studies with precision.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality heart images while assessing both normal and pathological conditions.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety while maintaining confidentiality during procedures.
  • Document all findings, measurements, and relevant details of examinations meticulously.
  • Effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members, sharing necessary reports.
  • Stay familiar with and fulfill additional departmental responsibilities as required.
  • Report equipment issues promptly to the Department Supervisor.
  • Confirm patient appointments in an organized manner.

Full Job Description
As a Cardiac Ultrasonographer you will performs diagnostic and special procedure ultrasonography in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works independently using extensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and positioning to perform thorough and accurate adult M-Mode, two-dimensional, Doppler and color Doppler cardiac ultrasound exams and ultrasound guided procedures. Experienced technicians with specialized training may perform some pediatric echocardiograms
  • Performs stress/echoes, dobutamine echoes and contrast studies
  • Independently operates ultrasound equipment to obtain images of the heart and related structures. Recognizes and interprets variations of normal and pathological patterns in the images. Performs calculations from the M-Mode, 2-D and Doppler recordings. Confirms appropriate clinical data and obtains patient history to provide high quality images for the interpreting cardiologist
  • Provides for the emotional, physical well-being, and safety of the patient while maintaining strict standards of patient confidentiality
  • Appropriately documents all abnormal findings, measurements, and dates necessary to complete exam
  • Possesses the ability to communicate effectively with patients as well as other members of the health care team. Documents procedures as needed. Assists with the distribution of necessary reports
  • Understands and is competent in other Cardiology Department job responsibilities and performs these functions on a regular basis
  • Recognizes and effectively communicates equipment problems in a timely manner to the Department Supervisor
  • Confirms patient appointments

Preferred Qualification:

  • 2+ years of experience in adult echo and stress/echo


Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $29.00 to $52.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
