About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced PeopleSoft Grants SME Consultant to support a public sector FSCM team. Multiple agencies within the organization are currently using PeopleSoft Grants inconsistently, and this role exists to assess the current environment and drive standardization across them.
This is a hands-on engagement covering discovery, configuration, reporting, documentation, and training, with a strong emphasis on building repeatable content given high staff turnover.
What You'll Do - Conduct discovery sessions and document current-state Grants processes across multiple agencies
- Identify configuration gaps and standardize processes
- Build and improve PeopleSoft-delivered reports and queries
- Update documentation and job aids
- Deliver virtual, role-based training to end users
- Design operational controls for grants processing
- Work primarily in Grants, with related work in Project Costing, Billing, and Accounts Receivable
- Report to senior finance and technology leadership
- Deliver measurable, tangible results within the first 30 to 60 days
What You Bring - 7 to 15+ years of PeopleSoft FSCM experience, with deep hands-on specialization in Grants
- Hands-on PeopleSoft 9.2 FSCM experience across Grants, Project Costing, Billing, and AR
- Strong PeopleSoft Query skills, able to create, revise, and document functional queries
- Experience in environments running PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM)
- ServiceNow experience for task assignment and tracking
- SharePoint experience with documentation repositories
- Experience with grant compliance or federal grant reporting (FEMA, FHWA, HHS, or similar)
- Public sector, state government, or multi-agency PeopleSoft experience
- Proven ability to enter an unfamiliar environment and produce deliverables fast
- Experience building training and job aids for high-turnover user populations
- Strong communication skills, comfortable working with agency staff and executive stakeholders
- Self-directed with the ability to ramp up quickly
Nice to Have - Experience with PeopleSoft API integrations
- PeopleSoft AI or analytics module exposure
- Instructional design or eLearning development background
- PeopleSoft certifications (not required, but a plus)
