People Team Advisor

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 / year

The Role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive People Advisor to join our People team, based in our three New York offices. Reporting into the US People Business Partner, based in our London headquarters, this is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a fast-paced, globally connected creative group, providing dedicated HR support across our multiple agencies in New York, California and Florida. You will provide comprehensive HR advisory support across the full employee lifecycle, working closely with HR leadership to ensure smooth and compliant operations across our US agencies. This role is in-office four days a week, working across three of the Together Group agencies in New York.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract preparation, probation tracking, and offboarding processes.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records across our HRIS, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation (

- Act as the first point of contact for general HR queries from employees and managers, escalating complex matters to the US People Business Partner.

- Coordinate recruitment administration including scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, conducting right-to-work checks and managing pre-employment documentation.

- Support payroll preparation by collating and communicating changes in a timely and accurate manner to the relevant Finance and Payroll teams.

- Assist in the coordination and facilitation of learning and development programmes, training logistics, and maintaining training records.

- Support the delivery of HR projects and initiatives, including employee engagement surveys, policy reviews, and DE&I initiatives

- Prepare regular and ad hoc HR reports and metrics for the People team and senior stakeholders.

- Liaise with HR counterparts across our multiple agencies in New York, Los Angeles, and Florida to ensure consistency in HR processes, policies, and employee experience.

- Support compliance with US federal and state employment law requirements across New York, California, and Florida, flagging jurisdictional differences to HR leadership.

- Assist with visa and work authorisation administration for international hires joining the US offices.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or coordinator role, ideally within a creative, media, marketing, or professional services environment.

- Working knowledge of US federal employment law and familiarity with state-level requirements across New York, California, and Florida; exposure to multi-state HR operations is strongly advantageous.

- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Sage HR, HiBob, Workday or similar) and confident use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when managing sensitive employee data and documentation.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.

- A collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
