People Operations Coordinator Overview

The People Operations Coordinator at Cowboy Space Corporation plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional experience throughout the employee lifecycle-from candidate to new hire. This role is responsible for coordinating recruiting activities, ensuring an outstanding candidate experience, managing onboarding logistics, and supporting key People Operations processes that help the company scale effectively.

Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition and partnering closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and the People team, this individual will help operationalize recruiting and onboarding workflows while supporting People Operations initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, operationally minded, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating exceptional experiences for both candidates and employees in a fast-paced, high-growth aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting Coordination
  • Coordinate interviews across technical, manufacturing, operational, and business teams
  • Manage complex scheduling logistics for candidates, interviewers, and hiring teams
  • Coordinate onsite interview logistics and support candidate visit execution
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process
  • Maintain recruiting calendars and scheduling accuracy across multiple stakeholders
  • Coordinate offer logistics and support the offer process as needed
Candidate Experience Coordination
  • Deliver a high-quality, responsive, and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Ensure timely communication with candidates regarding interviews, scheduling, and next steps
  • Welcome candidates during onsite interviews and coordinate a seamless interview experience
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to continuously improve the candidate experience
  • Represent Cowboy Space professionally and help reinforce our employer brand through every candidate interaction
Onboarding Coordination
  • Coordinate onboarding activities from offer acceptance through the employee's first day
  • Partner with hiring managers and cross-functional teams to ensure new hires are prepared for a successful start
  • Coordinate new hire paperwork, onboarding documentation, and pre-employment requirements
  • Schedule and support new hire orientation and onboarding activities
  • Track onboarding progress and ensure all required tasks are completed on time
  • Help create a welcoming, organized, and engaging onboarding experience for every new employee
HR Coordination
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support HRIS data integrity
  • Assist with employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding and employment documentation
  • Support compliance-related documentation and People Operations processes
  • Coordinate employee programs, events, and other People team initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the People team as needed
Recruiting & People Operations
  • Maintain ATS hygiene and ensure accurate candidate tracking and documentation
  • Support recruiting operations, including workflow management, interview feedback collection, and process documentation
  • Help improve recruiting, onboarding, and People Operations processes through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to support efficient hiring and onboarding execution
  • Track recruiting activity and assist with reporting and operational metrics
  • Help maintain organization, consistency, and operational discipline across recruiting and People systems
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of recruiting coordination, People Operations, HR coordination, talent operations, or related experience
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service mindset with a passion for creating positive candidate and employee experiences
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and recruiting technologies preferred
  • Startup, aerospace, manufacturing, hardware, or deep-tech experience is a plus
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive compensation package including salary, equity, and benefits based on experience and level. Posted range is $80,000 to $120,000.
