This high-impact role is at the core of eBay's M&A activity. It requires converting deal rationale into People integration strategies that support business outcomes, employee experience, and value realization.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, People M&A, you will partner closely with Corporate Development, the Integration Management Office (IMO), Business Unit leaders, and senior People partners to lead complex integrations across eBay's M&A portfolio. You will influence key decisions, drive alignment across senior stakeholders, and ensure successful integration execution from diligence through post-close.
Success in this role requires keen commercial insight, executive presence, good judgment, agility, and the ability to lead through influence in a highly matrixed environment.
What You'll Do
Lead People Integration Strategy
- Define and guide People integration plans aligned to deal objectives and value drivers.
- Partner with the People M&A Lead to interpret diligence findings and deal rationale into actionable integration strategies.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities, driving decisions and course corrections as needed.
- Own delivery against key People outcomes, including retention, organizational effectiveness, and workforce integration.
Drive Cross-Functional Execution
- Lead cross-functional integration efforts without direct authority.
- Align partners across People, Finance, Legal, IT, IMO, and Business Units.
- Lead multiple concurrent integrations across a variety of deal types and complexity levels.
Deliver a Seamless Employee Experience
- Lead employee transition activities, including onboarding, communications, training, and Day 1 readiness.
- Develop and implement culture integration strategies.
- Partner with acquired leadership teams and executives to support leadership assimilation and long-term success within eBay.
- Ensure acquired employees are set up for success both operationally and culturally.
Advance the People M&A Practice
- Enhance integration playbooks, tools, and methodologies based on lessons learned and industry best practices.
- Define and monitor success measures tied to employee outcomes and deal objectives.
What You Bring
M&A Integration Expertise: 10+ years leading M&A integrations, transformations, or complex enterprise initiatives in a high-tech or similarly complex environment and the consistent track record to translate strategy into execution and measurable business outcomes.
Leadership & Influence: Proven success leading large cross-functional initiatives without formal authority. Strong influencing skills coupled with the capacity to align partners and drive decisions at senior levels.
Executive Presence & Communication: A trusted advisor to senior leaders and executive stakeholders. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex topics and driving alignment.
Strategic & Operational Excellence: Strong business insight combined with connecting deal objectives to People strategies. Thoughtful judgment and discretion when handling confidential information, sensitive employee matters, and executive communications. Agility in adapting plans and priorities in fast paced environments. Experience managing competing priorities, navigating ambiguity, and making thoughtful trade-off decisions.

Additional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$126,800 - $204,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
