Full Job Description
The People & Culture Manager, Employee Relations & Compliance is responsible for overseeing employee relations, workplace investigations, employment law compliance, policy administration, and regulatory requirements across the organization. This role serves as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, supporting the resolution of employee concerns while ensuring compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Provides guidance and support to People & Culture team members regarding employee relations, compliance, and policy matters.
• Assists in the development and delivery of workplace investigations, policy compliance, and employment law.
• Serves as a mentor and subject matter expert on employee relations and compliance best practices.

Detailed Duties/Responsibilities:
• Leads and facilitates employee relations programs and related initiatives throughout the organization.
• Advises management on the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflicts.
• Conducts and oversees workplace investigations, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other employee complaints.
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations and partners with legal counsel when necessary.
• Coordinates responses to external agency inquiries, including EEOC, Department of Labor, unemployment, wage and hour, and other regulatory matters.
• Assists in managing legal claims related to employment matters, partnering with internal stakeholders and external counsel as needed.
• Supports workers' compensation processes, including investigation, documentation, reporting, and claim tracking.
• Maintains, develops, reviews, and updates company policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of employee relations, workplace investigations, employment law, and HR compliance principles.
• Strong conflict resolution, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment while handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to build credibility and maintain positive working relationships at all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of federal, state, provincial, and local employment regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience with an emphasis on employee relations, compliance, workplace investigations, and policy administration.
• Experience supporting multi-site operations preferred.
• Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CPHR, or equivalent) preferred.

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to occasionally travel as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
